Tips for remote using of a gate motor

 1. Difference between fixed code and rolling code remote

Fixed code:

It means that the code will not be changed every time when it is sent out. This kind of remote control chip is easier to copy.

Rolling code:

It refers to the code that is sent out each time is different, through a series of algorithms to complete the function of rolling. This type of chip copy is more difficult, you can complete the copy work by shifting, or the remote control that has been cracked.

2. Which kind of remote OSSDEN uses?

For most of our gate motors, we use rolling code remote. When you lose remotes, please delete the previous remote by pressing the learning button on the gate motor control board for about 10 seconds, then learn the remotes again, the previous losing remote cant open the gate, which is convenient and safe for customer.

3. How to learn a remote when installing a gate opener ?

Remote learning method:

Press the learning button on the control board of sliding or swing gate opener,  then press any button on the remote control(transmitter), there will be a sound like "beep" , then learning is successful.

4.  How many remotes can a gate motor use ?

Usually, 2 remotes are included when you buy a sliding or swing gate motor, but some customers still want more additional remotes for their families, for our gate motors, for better and safe use of gate operator, one gate opener can use 30-50 remotes at the same time, the learning method is same as the above, just learn it one by one as I showed.

5. Whats the main function of remote?

There are 4 buttons on the remote, Open Close Stop single button

Open= Open the gate

Close=Close the gate

Stop = Stop when the gate is running

Single button control

For swing: its for single leaf open,you can open just one gate if you want

For sliding: Pedestrian function, when the gate is opened, press this button, it will stop when there is space for about 1 meter, only people can walk through.
